This header turned out to be more of a challenge than I originally assumed. As I was searching for fonts that best represented myself and a picture that represented me as a designer, I was getting a little overwhelmed. I had no idea what "represented" me, and that was a struggle.
I ended up choosing a "fun" font that was out of the ordinary. As a designer and a person, I make sure to have fun with my designs and the process of creating them. The cut-out lettering does a good job representing that fun and laid-back aspect.
I chose the pencil with the tip breaking because I feel as though that is what design is all about. We go in at something new and may have no idea where we will be taken. We use process of elimination to come up with the best idea, and that means getting rid of ideas and going onto better ones. For me, I know I make a lot of mistakes in the process and have to go back and fix them; that is like a broken pencil tip because once it breaks, you have to go back and fix it to continue on.
